Hyaluronic Acid - Who, What, Where, Why!?

21st December 2016

Who is raving about it?
EVERYONE! Hyaluronic acid (HA) is the talk of the beauty world right now. Everyone wants to get their hands on anything with this ingredient in!

What is it?
HA is a gel-like, water holding molecule that is the space filler and cushioning agent found in humans. HA protects joints, nerves, hydrates skin and hair, and fills the eye. Hyaluronic Acid is a powerful hydrating active ingredient which is essential for skin regeneration. It helps to form the connective tissues that contain the support fibres Collagen and Elastin. It recovers skin density, firms and plumps.

Where can we find it?
It is the main component in the dermis’ (2nd layer of the skin) amorphous ground substance. HA can also be found in creams, serums and dermal injectables. All Resultime products from the Hydrating range, include HA. Dehydrated skins lack water and suppleness. Resultime has built its Hydrating range around Hyaluronic Acid. This programme, with the amazing hydrating properties of Hyaluronic Acid, recharges and quenches the skin. Even the most dehydrated skins quickly recover suppleness, radiance, and comfort.

Why is this ingredient making a comeback?
HA has been around for years, it's most likely that you've heard of it. But with dermal fillers becoming more and more popular and all of us wanting to look more youthful (without the price tag or pain) we're all on the hunt for a more pleasant alternative.
